Fork & Spoon

I started giving Kait a fork and spoon to play with about a week ago. She new what they were for and would pretend eat. So today I gave them to her with lunch and dinner. She doesn't really get much food on either of them. She's better with the fork cuz she stabs at the food and then can get it to her mouth without falling. But the spoon, she needs work on.

Kait's New Shoes

This is Kait's 1st pair of shoes she has actually worn for more than 2 minutes and the 1st pair that she has for walking. They're kinda big for her in length but the other ones wouldn't velcro over her fat feet so I had to go up a size. She had trouble walking in them at 1st but got the hang of it. She just thinks she's so cute in her shoes.

Kaitlyn's New Toy

This is what JD & Gaby got Kaitlyn for her Bday. Kait LOVES Elmo! She loves her new toys; thanks JD & Gaby! I also got Kait an Elmo DVD and it mesmerizes her; which I love.

Food

Well, I'm back on a health kick again. After 2 months of eating junk, fast food and sugar sugar sugar, my doc gave me the food lecture and kicked me back into gear. My bloodwork was actually great and I'm very fortunate to have that. Some people don't. So here's a list of pills I'm now taking daily:

omega 3, 6, 9 twice daily
actos cranberry pill twice daily: for urinary health
B12 dots-many daily
iron: anemia
multivitamin
melatonin: helps with sleep pattern and getting a better sleep
birth control
zoloft

The only things abnormal about my bloodwork were that 1) I'm LOW on B12 and B12 helps with energy, concentration, memory....hummm and 2)my urine has protein in it! Weird. Doc thinks its all the aspartame I eat/drink. She said it can crystalize in your renal tubules allowing protein to spill through. So I went out and got splenda and havent drank a coke zero in 6 days!!!!! Thats unreal for me; I'm craving the burn so bad. It has helped that Jay gave up cokes with me so I wouldnt be tempted. What a sweetheart. Seriously, he's dying too!

I've been eating 6-7X a day and not really worrying about calories just yet. Just trying to eat balanced. Good carbs, good veggies and trying to eat fruit. I'm not a fruit eater at all! I could go weeks without a fruit and could care less; I prefer my veggies! I'm odd. So I'm going to try to eat at least 1 fruit a day. So far I have been failing miserably due to the fact that there is no fruit in the house.

Here's a list of the Most Nutritious Vegetables (I know yall are SO interested)

Kait Video @ 14 months old

Since I posted a video of Miss Kaitlyn @ 7-8 weeks old, I thought I should post a current video too.

Old Kaitlyn Video

I just found this video of Kaitlyn when she was 7-8 weeks old. I can't believe my baby was so tiny!!!! And those adorable baby cooing sounds!

And this is when she was 4 weeks old! That was one of my favorite outfits she had too. It was PREMIE size!

Our House

We went to fill out paperwork on our house today. Kaitlyn was walking all over the office, getting into stuff, so I really don't know exactly what I was signing, but Jay was listening so I'm sure its ok. We then went to look at the demo house again. The demo house is our exact model we're building. Its SO nice! And BIG!! I can't wait to get out of Arlington and into our house. The construction is out of control in Arlington. It takes 15-20 mins to get to our apartment from the highway; it used to take 5 mins! We were suppose to take the camera with us, so we could go take pictures of us standing on top of our lot and then take pictures as it gets built, but we forgot, again.

This is what our house is going to look like, except our brick color is different. Looks small, I know. But its 2,086 sq ft with 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, 1 living, 1 dining, and a 2 car garage. It puts our crappy ghetto apartment to shame.

This is our floorplan with some minor differences. In the family room, there is no fireplace. I still don't know WHY people want a fireplace. We live in FREAKIN TEXAS! Hello!! And it was placed smack middle of the living room, like people sit around the fire and talk. Please. We all know we sit around a TV not a fireplace. In the kitchen I have a super awesome island in the middle. I don't know exactly why I love this island so much-its just cool. The master bedroom has a double sink area. I keep forgetting how big it is, until we're back in the demo house. I'm also not too sure about the open toliet area in the master bath. We've been together for 5 years and I'm still weirded out about Jay watching me pee. I don't know why; I'm not a shy girl.
